Project Architect

LHB has an exciting opportunity for a Project Architect in our PK-12 Education Studio. We are seeking candidates that are client focused, creative, organized and strong communicators. Position Summary:

The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Working with clients on programming sessions and charrettes
  • Developing and presenting design concepts and details
  • Performing code and zoning analyses
  • Evaluating options for sustainable strategies
  • Leading the design team in developing and coordinating construction documents
  • Performing construction administration activities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Licensed to practice architecture in the state of Minnesota, or willingness to obtain State of Minnesota licensure
  • 5+ years experience
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Enjoys being part of a team
  • Thorough and well-developed knowledge of building systems and codes
  • Talent with graphic presentation
  • Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Construction administration experience
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Knowledge and experience with (Pre) K-12 Education design
  • Knowledge and experience with sustainable design
  • Experience with specification writing, including BSD SpecLink-E software
  • Curiosity for learning and innovation
