Evan has focused on a variety of projects including commercial high-rise office buildings, parking structures, and more exclusively hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. While leading LHB’s Healthcare Focus Group, Evan delivers healthcare planning and programming expertise necessary to providing the highest quality project to our clients.
Mark oversees all the functions of LHB’s Human Resources department. His responsibilities involve working with the CEO and office leaders to develop staffing projections, recruitment strategies, policies to accommodate various employee and labor relationships, competitive salary and incentive pay, career tracks and continuing education for staff, health insurance plans, safety policies, and quality of worklife initiatives.
Kim has 40 years of architectural experience in multifamily residential design and leads the LHB Housing Studio. His award-winning designs include a wide variety of housing types including student housing, townhomes, condominiums, apartment buildings, supportive housing, and mixed-use developments. Kim was recently inducted into the Fellowship of the AIA (FAIA) for his commitment to creating and preserving affordable housing for all through sustainable building and community design.
Rick has led LHB’s focus on high-performance design since the early 1990s. He is recognized as an expert in sustainable design and speaks regularly at regional and national conferences on this topic. Rick works extensively on design for efficient resource use and occupant well-being, leading efforts for LHB to be visible experts in regenerative design and research. His projects range from single building to regional scales with the goal of greenhouse gas emission reduction.
Co-founder of Cermak Rhoades Architects (CRA), Terri is fascinated with how people dwell in their homes and has made supportive and affordable housing design the focus of her 40-year career. Her expertise in housing design and construction includes research into the cost and quality of building materials, along with a special interest in making small spaces highly livable and comfortable. Her work is enriched by the relationships she has formed with clients serving people at risk of homelessness

With over 30 years of architectural experience, Bruce specializes in working with commercial, higher education, and community clients. He is a strong advocate of regenerative architecture. Bruce is particularly interested in the role the built environment plays in shaping and enhancing performance and wellness, and being environmentally responsible.

Stacee designs with a client-centric perspective formed by asking the right questions, listening, and fully understanding your needs and expectations.
Electrical Lead – Pipeline
Trevor has over 15 years of experience in engineering for pipeline and industrial construction. His electrical, instrumentation, and controls experience includes client relationship development, client scope/budget development, LHB project proposal/estimate development, client material requisition development, analysis, design, drafting, bid specification development, construction inspection, field startup & commissioning, as-built documentation, and project management.
As LHB's Integrative Design Team (IDT) Leader, Michael brings together the talents of architects, landscape architects, planners, interior designers, and engineers into a studio-based culture to create regenerative communities using a research-based design approach. His leadership skills help clients with strategic planning, city planning, real estate development, and Tax Increment Finance analysis. He is an Edina city councilor and secretary of Edina's Housing & Redevelopment Authority.
Civil Lead - Industrial
Mike has over 20 years of experience in the planning, permitting, design, construction administration, and project management of civil infrastructure projects. He provides a broad range of civil engineering services for pulp & paper, electric utility, mining, and manufacturing operations. Mike specializes in designing water, sewer, wastewater treatment, site development, stormwater management, and large-scale earth-moving projects.
Joellyn’s expansive knowledge with firm management in strategic planning, communication, and identifying opportunities for growth has been proven as she’s watched LHB over double in size. Along with her marketing team, Joellyn works to effectively communicate who we are and highlight our unique strengths in every area.
Using his 25+ years of experience designing, specifying, and coordinating pipeline engineering projects, Dan is the Principal of LHB's Pipeline Group. Excelling at large scale projects, Dan oversees the design and construction of energy generation and transmission projects for electric, gas and oil industries. He specializes in linear facilities for liquid and gas pipelines and fiber optic cables.

Civil Lead - Pipeline
Bob specializes in pipeline facility renovation and expansion projects, focusing on facility secondary containment and site civil infrastructure. He serves as an engineering and construction supervisor on pipeline expansion programs, upgrading terminals and adding mainline pump stations. His experience includes the design and project management of multiple, large diameter, API 650, oil storage tanks, mainline right of way restoration, material procurement, and fire protection system evaluation.
Joe takes an active role in every project that he is involved which ensures the project’s success through construction. Being well versed in the design of steel, concrete, timber, precast/prestressed, and post-tensioned structures, he has been successful in managing multimillion-dollar industrial structures.

Landscape Architecture and Planning Studio Leader
Lydia works with clients and communities to create vibrant public, commercial, and residential places. She uses a collaborative design process to develop solutions that benefit the client, the community, and the environment. Her projects include community, education, park, trail, and transportation system planning, where her public engagement skills generate support and real solutions, as well as smaller public and private projects, where her focus on the details creates memorable experiences.
Jason is responsible for market growth, quality control, and ensuring client satisfaction for LHB’s Industrial Group, along with managing operations for LHB’s Pipeline Group. He is a licensed mechanical engineer with 20 years of experience in project management, construction management, project scope development, estimating and scheduling, and industrial facility design.

Troy has programmed, planned, and designed education projects for over 35 years. His experiences and expertise has allowed him the opportunity to work on over 100 schools from coast to coast, but he believes his true understanding of teaching and learning has come in-part from his five siblings, all classroom teachers. Schools are evolving. Technology, student support services, safety and security are just a small sampling of the issues impacting planning and design.

Sara has been with LHB since 2006 and leads the Higher Education Studio. She believes in a team approach to design, understanding that a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives results in the strongest outcomes. Sara is actively involved in projects, from initial programming, to developing details and working with contractors during construction administration. She feels that this provides consistency to the process and helps build trust and respect.
Todd applies his deep knowledge of design principles and building technology to each project, with the belief that good design enriches people’s lives. He enjoys working at all scales of design, from building details to master plans for new communities. A co-founder of Cermak Rhoades Architects (CRA), his work has won numerous design awards. Todd is also a presenter at housing and smart growth conferences, and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota for 29 years.
Barry Power joined LHB with the asset purchase of Natural Resources Engineering Company to offer expanded services to pipeline, industrial and commercial clients. With over 30 years of experience, Barry provides engineering and management services related to the transmission petroleum industry including hydraulic analysis of water systems, remedial investigations and corrective action designs, environmental management of waste streams, emergency response and readiness, and expert testimony.
Professional Land Surveyor
With over 20 years of experience, Kyle leads LHB's Minneapolis Survey Group. He manages the group's day-to-day operations and provides technical support services to the field and office staff. He has substantial experience with boundary, topographic, cadastral, and route surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivision and right-of-way platting, and FEMA floodplain surveys. He prepares concept plans, preliminary & final plats, site maps, and exhibits for land transfers, ROW, and easements.
Mechanical Lead - Pipeline
Brian has over 14 years of mechanical engineering expertise specializing in design of process, power and hazardous liquid and natural gas transmission piping systems. His knowledge of piping systems comes from a wide range of liquid and natural gas transmission studies and design for new construction, expansions/upgrades, and facility maintenance. He provides project scope development, estimating, piping system hydraulic analysis, piping design, pipe stress analysis, and construction support.
Civil Lead - Roadway
Brad has 20+ years of roadway and trail design, construction management, and civil engineering experience. His role in complex projects, includes budgeting, construction planning, CPM project scheduling, quality control, and construction administration. He supervises teams of surveyors, designers, and subconsultants for concurrent projects. His extensive experience in the design and construction of shared use path systems includes DNRs, DOTs, Counties, Parks, and Cities.

Civil Lead - Site
For over 25 years Dan has provided civil engineering, specializing in hydraulic/hydrologic analysis of storm water quality and quantity control systems. He creates site plans, grading, drainage and storm water control for roads, parking lots, brownfield remediations, sanitary sewer conveyance systems, and water supply systems. Dan's services include specification writing, earthwork and rock quantity calculations, cost estimating, site review, permit assistance, and construction administration.
With over 35 years of experience designing for multiple sectors, David has gained an extensive amount of knowledge regarding codes and guidelines essential to designing sustainable and safe projects. Several of David’s industrial projects include facilities that produce paper, chemicals, power, and steel fabrication.
Structural Lead - Bridge
Jon designs and provides construction and investigation of bridges and structures. This includes new design, historic rehabilitation, and inspection of structures utilizing steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, post tensioned concrete, stone masonry, brick masonry and timber. His team designs haunched steel plate girder, flared continuous steel plate girder, rolled steel beam, steel truss, prestressed concrete girder, stone and brick masonry, and concrete slab spans for agencies.

Mechanical/Electrical Lead – Integrative Design Team
Ryan has over 28 years of experience in mechanical systems design including plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection. At LHB, his responsibilities involve project management and mechanical systems design. He has designed efficient systems for new facilities and has conducted numerous ventilation replacements and boiler upgrades that address the issues involved with working within tight phasing schedules, old buildings, and aged systems.
Professional Land Surveyor
Paul has provided surveying for private and public clients for over 30 years. He completes and oversees survey work for roads, building sites, recreational areas, developments, and bridges. He performs ALTA/ACSM, boundary, cadastral, topographic, environmental site, route survey, section subdivision, right-of-way acquisition, and preparation of appropriate legal description. Paul creates concept/preliminary/final plats, site maps, and exhibits for land transfers, ROW, easements, and utilities.

His experience includes 21 years of structural and civil design and project management, primarily in the building industry, and 13 years of experience in the electrical transmission and distribution industry. With over 30 years of mechanical design experience and a commitment to sustainable design, David leads LHB’s Building Performance Services initiative. David’s specialties include oversight of design and specification of building mechanical systems, forensic engineering services, preparation of cost estimates, and coordination with contractors.
