Normandale Community College Kopp Student Center

The Kopp Student Center project at Normandale Community College, located in Bloomington, Minnesota, consists of a 23,400 GSF addition and 31,800 GSF remodeling of the existing student center. Funded primarily through student fees and revenue generated by the building, the design process involved a wide range of users, from students, the food service vendor, Student Life staff, and college administration. A key focus for the project was providing enough lounge space and meeting rooms for students, while designing up-to-date facilities for the campus food service operations and bookstore. The building is also sited to take advantage of the Japanese Garden, neighboring wetlands, and designed to accommodate the future campus expansion.
