Gage East Rochester Youth and Family

LHB’s design for the Gage East Rochester Youth and Family Housing development includes the renovation of an existing school as well as new construction of a three story building. The renovated facility is designed for youth and family support services including spaces for athletic activities, employment, education, and childcare. Permanent housing is provided in two wings in the new building with one wing serving 25 homeless youth and the other designed for 30 homeless families. A shared central space provides support services. The housing wing was completed in fall 2016. This 50,316 SF, $7 million dollar project meets Green Communities Criteria by creating sustainably-designed affordable housing.
