Pathways to Places: Downtown Public Realm Framework Plan
Project Type: Master Planning, Park Planning, Document Assembly, and Graphic Creation
Client: City of Minneapolis and Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board
LHB worked with the City of Minneapolis on the Downtown Public Realm Framework document project, a comprehensive visual document that focuses on the creation of a legible public realm hierarchy, including character districts and streetscape corridor typologies. Along with the Downtown Service Area Master Plan, the Downtown Public Realm Framework Plan is part of Pathways to Places, a joint effort by the City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Park Board to arrive at a comprehensive vision for Downtown Minneapolis that integrates parks and the public realm.
LHB worked alongside City staff and the community to develop a compelling and engaging document that is dynamic, flexible, and logical. The document will ultimately be used by policy makers, developers and the general public alike; LHB is designing a visually appealing document and contributing graphics that address all of these audiences.
