LHB provides building commissioning and retro-commissioning services to ensure that our client’s projects are designed, built, and operating per their requirements. Commissioning services result in a higher performing building and operations savings to owners.
Commissioning (Cx): A commissioned building is one whose individual equipment, systems, and staff have successfully completed a thorough quality assurance process. Commissioning with LHB is a process that begins at the pre-design phase and follows through to post-occupancy of a building project. Hired directly by the Owner, LHB’s Commissioning Authorities are continuous representatives from inception through occupancy that provide third party verification that the facility and its systems meet the Owner’s Project Requirements.
We can meet the requirements of rating systems and guidelines including LEED, Minnesota B3, and Federal.
Retro-Commissioning (RCx): Retro-Commissioning is the application of the commissioning process to existing buildings that seeks to improve how building equipment and systems function. Retro-commissioning can often resolve problems that occurred during design or construction, or address problems that have developed throughout the building’s life. LHB’s Retro-Commissioning process improves a building’s operations while respecting the relationships between the existing buildings energy consuming systems, occupants, and maintenance personnel.
Based upon LHB’s expertise in Building Performance, our Retro-Commissioning Agents help owners identify existing buildings with the highest opportunities for energy savings. We offer owners a range of services from simple walk-through analysis to detailed capital investment analysis reports.
