Created in 1993 to provide high-quality design and professional service to clients in housing development, CRA has received four affordable housing design awards for creating affordable and supportive dwellings in the region. Learn about some of their work:

Now located in LHB’s Minneapolis office, the staff from CRA bring experience from projects including 7,500 dwelling units, ranging from site evaluation studies to $100 million mixed-use construction projects for non-profit organizations, individuals, private developers, churches, and local governments.

Since 1989, LHB’s award-winning Housing Studio has worked with clients to design high quality housing for residents with a variety of needs.  We are recognized for our ability to work with diverse communities and institutions to create projects that both reflect and strengthen their neighborhoods and campuses. LHB has successfully partnered with non-profit and for-profit housing developers as well as colleges and universities on the renovation or new construction of over 9,600 dwelling units in the region. LHB’s Housing Studio was awarded the 2013 Affordable Housing Design Award from AIA Minnesota and The McKnight Foundation for the Renaissance Box project. The Housing Studio’s depth is reflected in the broad range of our projects that include townhomes, condominiums, apartment buildings, supportive housing, senior living, student residence halls, and mixed-use developments.  The structure of the Housing Studio within LHB enables us to provide architectural services specializing in housing design with the benefits of a consistent team of in-house landscape architects, civil, and structural engineers. Through this integrated design approach we seek opportunities to incorporate elements of sustainable design into each project.
