Project Type: HVAC Study
Client: Murray County Historical Society
LHB was retained to conduct a field investigation of the HVAC system Murray County Museum in Slayton, Minnesota and determine suitability for artifact preservation at the site. Our study was performed to focus solely on remedying and extending the building systems so that the indoor environment became more appropriate for stabilizing collections in all seasons.
Upon the conclusion of our investigation, we proposed several improvements to the HVAC system that will move the building class into the IV-V range with better vapor and ventilation control and will move the air control class into the B-C range with no low humidity damage concerns while providing better temperature distribution throughout the museum zones.
